About This Review
This is a review lesson in the ACIM Workbook. Review lessons revisit earlier ideas, allowing them to deepen and integrate into your awareness. Each review period is an opportunity to see these ideas with fresh eyes and a more receptive mind.
Practice Guidance
The review lessons are designed to consolidate the ideas you've been practicing. Spend time with each idea being reviewed, letting it settle more deeply than before. You may notice that ideas which seemed abstract or difficult when you first encountered them now carry a different quality.
Don't rush through the review. Each idea deserves your full, unhurried attention. You might find that your understanding has shifted in subtle ways since you first practiced these lessons.
Contemplation
As you review, notice which ideas resonate more strongly now than they did initially. This natural deepening is part of the workbook's design — each review builds on the foundation of daily practice.
From Walking the Workbook
Day seven of the recognition. Beloved, we are home in it.
Open the Workbook and read today's applied idea. Each day offers a slightly different way into the same recognition. We do not need to track them. We need only to receive what is here today.
The mind that has been doing this work has begun to notice something about the body's relationship to the recognition. The body is not in opposition. The body is the gentle vehicle through which the practice has been happening. The hands hold the Workbook. The eyes read the page. The voice repeats the affirmation. The body is not what we are, and the body is also not the enemy of what we are. It has been doing what bodies do, while what we are has been doing what we are doing.
This relationship — the recognition that the body is neither us nor against us — is the deepest gift of the I am not a body affirmation. It releases the body from a burden it has been carrying. The body can be tender, neutral, used wisely, allowed to age, allowed to feel sensation, allowed to be what it is.
For today. Read today's lesson in the Workbook. Repeat the affirmation. Be gentle with the body that is carrying you through this practice.
